Is it flattery if it's the truth, little lord? You know the answer to your own questions all too well.
The way D3rlord3 is subconsciously leaning into the King's touch is an answer all on its own, it doesn't even take omniscience to know that what the King wants isn't all that different from what D3rlord3 wants, though, D3rlord3 keeps his desires encased within a thick, mulish shell.
"Whatever it is you're trying to do—" D3rlord3 tries to pull away but stops, sucking air sharply through his teeth when his head gives a harsh throb "—it's not working. It wont work."
Yet it brought you back here.
OR
D3rlord3 returns to the King because he feels like he should (because deep down he wants to but he’s too full of himself to admit it) and they share a drink.

Stuck inside the Four Sword with the Wind Mage.
Link expected an eternal prison with his company to be a pain, and it was.
However even time can erode hatred and soon enough an understanding is born between them.
