Summary
Set in a Victorian AU.
John, now 18 but orphaned at 15, has been forced to work at a workhouse for the last three years.
The Victorian workhouses were the last resort for those who had truly lost everything. Conditions were harsh and work was never ending.
This particular workhouse is ruled by a cruel 'guardian' known as Mister Holmes.
Mister Holmes has a young son, Sherlock, who John sees as just as cold and hard as his father but......is Sherlock really as much like his father as John thinks he is?
And why does Sherlock just keep looking at John?

Marinette is not enthused about Alya, Lila, and most of her class. Chat is a hero; he's no-one's side-kick!
Adrien is not enthused by the fact that his second favorite hero is never going to be turned into a perfect petite piece of posable plastic. Where is he going to get a Multimouse figure?!
And Gabriel is not enthused by his son's defiance.
Starts out as fluff, but it's really a story about Adrien coming to terms with his father's abuse.

What if everything that Sherlock had wanted to, but never could say to John, was put on striking display on what was to be a pleasant afternoon of ice cream and ducks? What happens when John has to finally face everything he told himself he never wanted to know?
John comes by with Rosie for their weekly hang with Sherlock. But when the man in question fails to greet them, John goes off to find Sherlock in his room, shirtless and hunched over in pain. He's stopped in his tracks by the angry lines and marks marring what he once knew to be flawless skin. And suddenly John can't run from Sherlock's truths any longer.
AKA - Sherlock's in a bad way, and John finally decides to stay.
