Sage stopped right in front of the body, and checked it's pulse. The body wasn't warm in death, it was as cold as an icicle. Almost as if the warmth was sucked out dry.
The bastion felt sudden chills run down her back, feeling another presence next to her. Her intuitions were correct as she saw movement from her right. She quickly managed to slap away a hand that came into her personal space of 3 feet. Sage opened up a barrier orb and pushed herself upward, allowing her to put space between herself and the other person. The person radiated an amethyst glow as she merged out of her cloaked invisibility. Their eyes locked. It was Reyna, the infamous leader of the entire Underworld Kingdom Syndicate.

Summary
Through cutting off distractions and engraving skin with chroma, she bled more than she cried for herself. She stayed focused on the mission while everyone else got to live their own lives. She continued when everyone else had fallen. She did it not because she wanted to but because no one else would. She picked up a weapon when she could have picked the guitar.
She learned to be strong because there was no other option. She learned to be useful before she learned to choose for herself.
And this is where that got her. The culmination of all of her efforts. “We succeeded where every other expedition has failed. I could never be prouder of us than I am now.”
“And it is something to be proud of,” Sciel agrees.
No one asked what it cost her, least of all, Lune herself.
She smiles, but it doesn’t quite reach her eyes. “But what about after?”

In which by the end of Act II, they defeat the Paintress and it's a happy ending. But how does one become happy after everything one has been through and sacrificed? Lune finds the answer in Sciel and a bottle of wine.
