Summary
Langa has to pass summer school to continue into third year, so Reki offers to tutor him. After they almost kiss one study session, Langa (to avoid confessing) lies and says he just wants to practice with Reki so they have experience for the future. Reki agrees, and their study sessions become less about schooling and more about kissing.

Summary
Langa is always down for whatever crazy ideas Reki proposes: doing a skateboard dance for Tiktok? Sure. Teaching Sketchy how to do tricks on little fingerboards? Yes. Spontaneously playacting comedic boyfriend/girlfriend scenarios to tease their friends? Hell yeah.
This is no different. Langa clings to this thought: this is just for show. It’s just for fun. For whatever reason, Reki wants to impress these people, and Langa is happy to be his partner in crime. Always.
Even if it destroys him in the process.
Reki and Langa go to their first university party and get roped into a kissing game that gets a little out of hand.

Summary
Will needs a date to his mom's wedding. Mike volunteers.
“I have an idea,” says Mike.
Ice cubes form in Will’s stomach. “How dangerous is it? Like, should I call Dustin to talk you down, or should I call Nancy to be ready to drive us to the hospital?”
“No,” says Mike, “you can’t tell anyone or it won’t work.”
“Or what won’t work?” Will asks. It’s like picking up a rock you know a spider will be under.
Mike gets up and closes Will’s door. Hopper doesn’t make them keep it open but sometimes Will does anyway, because every now and then lying around alone with Mike on his bed just makes his chest ache too much. If the door is open he can tell himself You can’t do anything right now, someone will see.
Mike leans back against the door. His eyes are lit up with that special maniacal gleam that the Wheelers get right before they do something insane, like when Nancy says, “Then we have to go kill Vecna ourselves,” or whatever. “Take me to the wedding,” says Mike.
“Yeah,” says Will slowly, “you’ll be at the wedding. Obviously.”

Summary
After they save the world, Will gets a boyfriend and a haircut. Mike loses his mind.
A bunch of random words and feelings flash through Mike’s brain but they won’t settle down to form a sentence. He just can’t fathom the idea of Will…with a boyfriend. Will’s boyfriend. A boyfriend who is Will’s. It won’t make sense no matter how he squints at it. “Dudes kissing or whatever is cool,” Mike says eventually. “It’s just… Will…”
Will picks up a pillow and throws it at Mike’s face. Mike catches it. “That’s not fair,” Will says. “Dustin has Suzie, and Lucas has Max.”
“But you’re Will,” says Mike. Doesn't everyone else feel this way, too? Dustin and Lucas are looking at him with twin expressions of horrified fascination, like Mike is some kind of slow-motion train wreck. “I mean– I mean, you’ve always been–”
My Will, Mike’s brain finishes. Shit, he’s not saying that out loud.
“The baby?” asks Will, glaring at him. “Shut up, Mike.”
“No,” Mike says again, miserable, but he can’t say I don’t want there to be some other guy you like more than me out loud where god and Dustin can hear him and never let him forget it as long as he lives.

Mike opens his eyes against the water droplets hanging off his eyelashes. Will hasn't stopped walking away from him, and he’s far enough now that Mike can no longer really see the details of his jacket. The rain feels like needles against his skin, and a frustration builds in his gut. Mike can't stand this anymore.
He breaks off into a run.
