Not that Jane is complaining about watching the repairs. (Why did it take me so long to bookmark this?) One of my favorite fics, in any fandom, ever. One of my favorite pieces of writing period. Perfectly characterized Loki & Thor with a complex relationship, and loads of issues... but with a sibling bond that has spanned centuries and still refuses to break. A Loki who is deliciously broken; a Thor who is hurt, and struggling to make sense of things; a loving, caring, cunning Frigga; a making-you-want-to-smack-him (even as you kinda sympathize) Odin; a strong, betrayed Sif who just wants what's best for Thor; and a couple of very strong OCs to boot. Oh, and did I mention the tantalizingly teasing plot?
The plot is great, the pacing is great, the writing is frickin' perfect, and the characterization is so strong that you'll hate it for giving you such TERRIBLE FEELS. This fic has made me cry, "d'aww," cheer, gasp, laugh, and rage at my computer screen—often within paragraphs of each other—and I cannot get enough of it.
Read this fic. You can thank me later.

An adorable sibling piece with just enough foreshadowing to make your heart hurt. Well-written, good River voice, good characterization... just cute. And the CSI (crazy space incest) is really subtextual, so you're free to ignore it if it squicks you.

Five times he transformed into a rabbit and needed cuddling and one time he didn't and got cuddled anyway.

The concept sounds silly—a rehashing of Thor, only Loki turns into a rabbit when he's upset—BUT THE WRITING AND THE CHARACTERIZATION ASDFGHJKL.
The whole, crazy idea is just treated so well, with so much respect and so many little subtleties and details added, that it winds up absolutely perfect. Plus a happy ending. Everything really is better with bunnies... who'd'a guessed?
