“Obviously, I would!” Eddie was whisper-yelling now, and Buck wasn’t sure exactly what point he was trying to make, but he was enjoying every second of this. “But one of us is going to have to have restraint and it has to be the—the one with the most experience.”
Buck felt his mouth drop open in delight. “Eddie,” he admonished. “Are you calling me a whore?”
“No!” said Eddie, looking increasingly flustered. “I just mean—clearly you have the power to do—” he gestured at Buck, “that, so you have the—the responsibility to, like, use it. Responsibly.”
“Did you just quote Spiderman?”
Eddie propped his elbows on the table and dropped his head into his hands, groaning dramatically. “I’m going to die. The first date, and I’m going to die.”
“Been there, wouldn’t recommend it.”

He knows that Eddie’s been borrowing his clothes. Consented to it, actually, when they both realized Eddie and Chris weren’t going anywhere and it would take time to get all of their things shipped over from El Paso. They’ve been living in this liminal space since then, where this house isn’t Eddie’s, but it isn’t Buck’s either, and it definitely isn’t theirs because Buck won’t let himself linger on that thought for too long. With that kind of mindfuck taking up space in his head, sharing clothes didn’t seem like too big a deal, except now it seems like a really big fucking deal because Eddie looks…and Buck feels…
Warm. He feels so fucking warm, and it has everything to do with Eddie.
or: After helping rescue the 118 from the high rise collapse, Eddie decides to move him and Chris back to Los Angeles. In the meantime, he’s borrowing Buck’s clothes. Buck, understandably, has a lot of feelings about seeing him in his favorite Bruce Springsteen t-shirt.
