    She thinks about the Saja Boys, about Jinu, feeling her chest thrumming again and she smiles gently knowing that while she’ll never forget him, she has to continue doing what she loved.

    “To Jinu, for helping me see how much more I was than my patterns,” She begins, both of her friends squeezing her hands.

    “And to wishing that the Saja Boys could have just one more chance, to do the right thing.”

    She doesn’t know why she says it but it feels right, they all open their eyes looking at each other, Zoey and Mira saying nothing about the ending but they smile.
