Things this fic does brilliantly: world building, angst, plot twists, dream technology, extreme cuteness, funny moments, the whole thing is just so well done so I guess uh everything?
Things this fic doesn’t have: ..., ........... ummmm idk there aren’t any dogs? Like literally that is the only complaint and I’m clearly grasping for straws with that one.

Summary
Yang dies. She wakes up. She fights. She dies. The world stays the same, the situations barely change. Yang wakes up, she fights, she dies. She also falls in love — one repeated day at a time — with the one woman on Remnant who could possibly understand, even if her memories of Yang are erased with each reset. (Yang gets used to the dying, not so much the look in Blake’s eyes that marks her as a stranger.)

Hooo boy the feelings wow. Really well written and it flows really well but it’s a Mission emotionally. Kinda dark chocolate vibes (like 90% or something) it’s so good but have a lot and you need a break. Am I crying right now? Who knows.

Summary
Every year within the Dwendalian Empire, one of the biggest events on the calender is The Annual Dance. An extravagant night in which the richest and most powerful couples in the Empire and the rest of Wildemount are able to mingle, broker deals, catch up on gossip, and dance the night away, with the best couple receiving a special prize.
Beau had thought her days of going to the Annual Dance were over, but when a mission from the Cobalt Soul gets them two invitations, she finds herself and Jester being assigned to infiltrate the dance, to serve as a distraction while the rest of the Nein get up to the real shady business.
This would be fine, except to make a distraction they have to compete to be the best dancers. Which means pretending to be a couple. A couple in love. Beau is in love with Jester. Jester is in love with Beau. Neither of them has told the other yet. This whole night would be a lot simpler if they did.
