‘I am invisible, understand, simply because people refuse to see me’ hits Buck somewhere deep, right in the spaces between his ribs where he hides all of his secrets. Because that’s Buck, exactly; invisible, hidden.

    Summary

AU in which eighteen year old Buck pulls an Albert and shows up unannounced on Maddie's doorstep in L.A.

Or, canon is loosely followed with younger Buck and Maddie featuring plenty of Buckley sibling angst, lots of hurt/comfort, firefam and fatherly Bobby feels, Buck's not-so-subtle crush on Eddie, and Doug's dramatic re-appearance with subsequent Buckley trauma.

“So we’ll just blurt out random things?” Mina asked. “Like the fact that I can’t eat sandwiches not cut down the middle?”

Snickers rose from the class as she turned a bright red.

Aizawa sighed. “Not exactly. The quirk is a weird mix between a truth quirk and a prone to suggestion quirk, thanks to the boy's parents. It means you’ll be under the effects of a normal truth quirk, but you also won’t have the ability to keep yourselves from oversharing.”

“So we’ll all be spouting fucking word vomit like Deku?!”

    “Yes, Bakugou. Fucking word vomit.”

    —

    Or

Class 1-A is hit by a very powerful truth quirk, and lots of things come out. Some things are quite harmless - quite the opposite, really - others are quite funny, and some open wounds that never really healed.
