    Sokka did not expect to find an Airbender while fishing with his sister. He did not expect a Fire Nation ship to crash into their village, demanding the Avatar—who just so happened to be the aforementioned Airbender. And he did not expect a hot, sword-wielding, wise-cracking Firebender to not only help them hijack the ship, but then declare that he would be the Avatar’s teacher.

    When Zuko doesn't survive redirecting Azula’s lighting in the last Agni Kai, their world falls apart for Katara, Sokka, Aang, Toph, and Iroh.
    But while they are trying to adjust to a new reality, in which sorrow and grief are their constant companion, new challenges arise.
    The Fire Nation is as unstable as never before, and it is unclear who will continue to rule it.

    Can the gaang find a way to stabilize the fire nation, and prevent a new outbreak of the 100 year war, while navigating its sensitive and corrupt political landscape and staying true to themselves?
    Will they be able to stay connected to each other and themselves through the grief that this terrible tragedy brings?
    What are they going to do with Azula, and how will she react towards killing her brother?
    And is all hope really lost, or will Katara and Zuko be able to reunite in some way?
