Damen and Laurent AHHHHHHHHHH *various other incoherent noises*
2025 read that sunk its teeth into my skin. I had and am still having such a formative experience with this fic.
I am pacing the room, rereading various parts and squealing out to myself. Approached this fandom blind and now wanting to dive into canon material. The insecurities, anxieties, trauma was handled so well without it being in your face.
Masterclass in very natural dialogue, setting up the plot and conflict. Delicious, realistic, written conflict, internal struggles, the pining, the self sabotaging behaviour almost to the point of self fulfilling those anxieties. Laurent being a writer in this felt like a window into your writing processes and thoughts.
FUNKI, I WISH I LIVED IN YOUR BRAIN. And you also such impeccable taste in music.

Whitherward, can I just say. And I think I have said this in the comments I've dropped in your other fics. I am in constant awe, at your ability to write in a way that just tugs on heart strings (at least, and definitely, mine)? The words put together, feels so organic, not forced, not in any grand way, but there is a beauty in the simplicity of the crafted sentences and paragraphs, the flow of the story. I wish to repeat this all once again, because your writing style astounds me and inspires me. I find myself having to sit back and take in each line and section of the story again and again. I fell for your words when I first picked up 'save the undone years' and I continue to be in awe and absolute adoration.
