He must not like what he sees. The hybrid growls and goes to lunge at her. She yelps, pulling against her chain again. Before he can reach her, he’s forcibly yanked back by the chain tying him to the battlefield. She’s just noticed it, all the other competitors were let free of their chains, but this one is still hooked. One of the handlers unties her chain and guides her out of the seats. She looks back to the sounds of the other dragon fighting those trying to hold him back. She shudders, he just tried to kill her, she needs to stay clear of him.

Many things dictated how long someone could wait before they were bullied into spending a week on the hunting grounds. Careers, overall health, and schooling were some of the factors that one could call on to keep them out of the arena.
