Summary
The formation of self-concept, defined as a person's ability to maintain consistent opinions and beliefs about oneself and others, begins in early adolescence. This stage of life is characterized by "trying on" different identities to discern what feels right and true. The starting point for identity development is an adolescent's environment consisting of the building blocks of family life, social life, and other defining life events.
Webby thinks that if her building blocks of identity had been lined up on a table, her thirteenth birthday party had flipped that table onto its side and then kicked all the blocks away into dark corners where she could never find them. It's amazing what a mere twenty four hours can do to completely dismantle a person's sense of self beyond repair.

Summary
Gosalyn knew that she had to change. The way she had treated romance and dating in the past wasn't going to sustain her in the long run. She had talked about it extensively with her therapist already, but it all came down to one thing. Gosalyn could think around the reasons and find every self-serving one that was out there, but one reason was all she needed and that was the sheer undeniable fact that Webby was worth changing for.
She knew that she could start this relationship off the way that Webby deserved. All she needed to do was pull off a perfect Valentine’s Day.

Summary
The holiday season always tended to be a little more chaotic for the small family of vigilantes, but this year was the winner. With both Drake and Launchpad laid up with broken bones and brain injuries, Gosalyn was the only one left. Sure, Fen— …Gizmoduck was helping out but it really wasn’t that much. It wasn’t his fault, of course. Duckburg had its own seasonal crime spike to get under control. Still, it left Gosalyn as a full-time student, full-time superhero, and full-time exhausted.
Dewey and Webby weren’t about to let that persist. They couldn’t help her sleep more, but they could help her have fun.
It was the holidays, after all!

Words like "you're safe" and "I love you," like "I've got you" and "it's okay." Coming down from a meltdown is never easy, but it is so much easier with the lilting voice of a loving parter whispering reassurances into her ear, holding her so tightly it feels like she can finally breathe. Falling asleep with her two best friends is nothing she isn't used to, but it feels lovely every time, especially after feeling so vulnerable and recieving nothing but unwavering kindness and understanding in return.
