The storm at the midnight of doomsday had claimed a single life. Tommy had thought he finally found peace. He thought that in death, he would finally find release from the torture the living world has brought him all his life. He thought it was all over. When he suddenly finds himself waking up, seemingly in the sky, Tommy's more than confused. He’s confusingly welcomed by a familiar face, but it wasn't the same.
Nothing was the same. He wasn't the same.
He had become so much more.

At the same time, Vox's former partners are not quite willing to let him go without a fight. This story explores the everyday ordeals of Vox in the aftermath of losing everything while gaining something he's always wanted.If you're not into never-ending stories, you can pretend Chapter 30 is the end (because it originally kinda was until I decided to keep writing)

“My dear boy,” he croons, “you seem blissfully unaware that you have absolutely no power in this city. Why, you’ll wither away to nothing at the station long before you could ever hope to rise above me. And how delightfully foolish of you to sever ties with your decrepit father, the only fellow in New Orleans whose influence might have piqued my interest. Aside from our mutual adoration of yours truly, I’m afraid we share not a blessed thing in common!”.
He ghosts fingertips under Vincent’s sharp jawline, before gently cupping around his cleft chin. “You bore me, Vincent. And there is nothing I despise more than boring people.”
