Summary
Mark Grayson and William Clockwell share a deep, lifelong bond that begins with an innocent childhood kiss and grows into a romance. Their love endures even after Mark becomes the superhero Invincible, until tragedy strikes when Mark’s father, Nolan, murders William. Consumed by grief and rage, Mark kills Nolan and descends into madness. The villain Angstrom Levy offers Mark a chance to reunite with a version of William from another dimension. Desperate and broken, Mark agrees, unleashing chaos and destruction on an alternate Earth to fulfill the bargain.
The story draws heavy inspiration from Anakin Skywalker's infamous love confession to Padmé in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, particularly in Mark’s obsessive, grief-stricken declarations of love. Like Anakin, Mark is consumed by loss, pain, and an overwhelming need to control what he cannot bear to lose again.

You look over your shoulder with a wicked grin, and upon revealing your answer, your red lover nearly fell to his knees.
