Summary
“what’dya mean the surface? i-” As I speak, I try to take a step forward, but it doesn’t work. Which doesn’t make sense, because when people try to walk, they walk, but for some reason, instead of walking, I fall to my knees in frickin’ PAIN. “aghk-!”
My cervical vertebrae throbs and I cough up dust, trying to keep myself steady by keeping my hands planted firmly on the hard concrete floor. Right, I wasn’t done healing earlier.
“papyrus!” I hear Sans shout the name, one that causes me to look up. But it’s not my name… is it? I don’t think so? I need to focus on healing myself, having been rudely interrupted from said process when I suddenly showed up here.
Or, I love the tag “reader is a sans”, or in this case, papyrus, and this is entirely self-indulgent.

Summary
It had been years since Papyrus had last seen his brother.
Monsterkind was free and happily settled on the surface. Everyone was happy. However, nobody else even remembered about Sans’ existence. Every time Papyrus mentioned him to anyone they looked at him as if they were afraid that he was losing it.
But he knew that Sans was real.
The house they’d once shared was still there within Mount Ebbot. Hidden behind it was a small lab. Down there, hidden within several piles of documents full of mostly undecipherable chicken scratches, there was a picture. Whatever had erased everyone else’s memory and physical reminders of Sans' existence had left that one untouched.
In it, his brother was wearing a lab coat and holding up his theoretical physics diploma. He was smiling, standing right next to Papyrus. Papyrus had to crouch to fit within the frame, his position looked uncomfortable, and yet he was still grinning just as brightly as his brother, he was even shedding a few manly tears.
That photo was a promise. From the day he’d discovered it buried in that lab, he decided that he wouldn’t rest until he’d found his brother again.

Some people are born with soulmarks. Zuko has them, but his grandfather burned them off because they "make you weak."
Team Avatar has a few things to say about that.

Summary
Muddled as your thoughts are, it doesn’t occur to you until Niffty is already gone, that it might not have been a great idea for the two of you to hug, considering the company she keeps, and the places she must be, and the demons she must attend to.
Though your demon form is a cross of several different creatures, you are also a doe.
And worst of all, you are in Heat.

Summary
Wings have long since been acknowledged as a sign of legacy. When someone dies, entrusting someone close to them with their lifelong mission, it sometimes manifests as wings upon their back. Perhaps as a reminder. Perhaps as a great burden to bear.
When Hikaru is 14 and the ghost that's been stuck to him for the past two years disappears, maybe he should have expected the wings. (But he didn't, and neither did anyone else in his life.)

Wings can be a blessing. But It is so much easier to turn into a curse.
