A gasp from Galinda’s lips was the best music the Emerald City had to offer. Delighted, slow, as she got lost in the only good thing they still had.
Her thighs tasted like thunder, smoke and absinthe. One day, he thought they could just run away, that things would be fine. Those were long passed as he truly joined her. For it would be blood one day, blood shed in Elphaba's name, her honour, and the empty grave in a country they couldn’t visit, wouldn’t even mention as Galinda clung on to a hope he wished he shared, as she faded away before her faith did.
Kissing away the remnants of her pain until only Galinda was left, her taste, sweet. Still theirs, even now.
“I love you.”
Her answer wasn’t much more than a broken moan.
