Summary
Jihoon has moved across countless cities in the hopes of avoiding his first mate, who is also the father of his child, Seungkwan. The bat clatters to the ground as it slips, forgotten, from Wakino’s fingers. Everything after that happens in slow motion.
Wakino takes a couple of hesitant steps forward, eyes glued to Sawamura’s figure.
And Kazuya doesn’t take his eyes off Wakino. As he pushes himself to a stand, Wakino bolts; rushing the mound. Not far behind, Kazuya rips his face guard off to carelessly toss it to the ground, and with a rough shake of his wrist, he flings his mitt away, sprinting to catch Wakino before he can reach Sawamura.
Sawamura goes into heat on the mound. Miyuki doesn't like the other teams reaction.
