A real original idea. Husk just about stops himself from rolling his eyes into the back of his skull. Instead he huffs out a laugh. Reaches for the bottle again. “You really think that’s a good idea?”
Valentino isn’t the first Demon to challenge Husk to a gamble, and he won’t be the last, but there is true stupidity in challenging the Gambling Demon to a game of cards. And of course Valentino, just like everyone that has come before him, is planning to cheat. He wants a deal between his three and Husk too badly to let it all slip through his fingers, so he’ll do everything in his power to tip the game in his favour.Or: Valentino gambles with Angel’s soul contract. Angel gets the better end of the deal.

The Casino was busy, but it was just another night. Nothing unmanageable, Husk was used to nights like this. The lights, the music, the cheap booze in a way was his passion. The things that he'd achieved in death far out doing anything he'd accomplished in life. He had influence here in hell, power, the ability to take the souls he owned and tear them to shreds if he so wished. It was exhilarating, he loved it.

Summary
Slowly, the other occupants of the hotel start to go back to their rooms one by one. Angel sits at the bar nursing his drink as he watches Husk wipe down the countertops, the two of them quiet aside from the occasional “Ya missed a spot,” he throws the other’s way, teasing.
Because that’s what they do now. They’re friends. Angel figures, at least, and friends have drinks together. They tease each other. Friends wait up until it’s far too late in the evening and walk back to their rooms together, quietly cracking jokes to avoid waking anyone up, strangely considerate in light of all that’s happened recently.
Friends don’t grab his waist like Husk suddenly does when they reach the door to his room and Angel is about to say goodnight.
