Fate had brought them here, to this moment, staying at the same hotel in central London, each in their own room, living their own torment, but somehow still orbiting each other.
"Alright" Noel answered. He wasn't entirely convinced, much less with alcohol still heavy on Liam's breath, but they were running out of time. Soon they would leave this place, back to rebuild their separate lives, play at being proper fathers and bandmates again. This godforsaken hotel, this room where reality bent at the edges—it belonged to them, just for now. Might as well make it count.
