Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn will see omega Anakin Skywalker trained at the Jedi Temple over the Council’s wishes, even if it means resorting to drastic and horrific measures that would cripple the boy’s very ability to leave the alpha Master’s side altogether.
Of course, then the fight with Darth Maul happens, and what’s alpha Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi to do when left to deal with the consequences of his Master’s actions? Said consequences being the small matter of the traumatized omega that Master Jinn left behind—the supposed Chosen One of prophecy, who’s been driven half-mad by the mating mark forced on him at the tender age of nine, and subsequent loss of the alpha that made it in the first place.
