Summary
Mira Sorrengail has three rules:
1. Always trust your dragon.
2. Never trust a Flier.
3. Don’t fall for a smug bastard with great hair, sharp knives, and a cat named Broccoli.Enter Drake Cordella—war hero, political headache, and the most annoyingly charming Flier Mira’s ever been forced to share a war-torn outpost with. Assigned to Aretia to patch a failing border only she can stabilize, Mira is ready to save the world—preferably without making eye contact with the flirt who calls her “hotshot” just to watch her twitch.
He flirts because she hates it.
She glares because it makes him smile.
It’s all very professional. But the border isn’t the only thing unraveling. With Riders and Fliers at each other’s throats, ancient magic bleeding through the cracks, and Mira’s signet pulling her closer to something dark and dangerous, she’ll need help from the last person she wants to need.
The good news?
Drake is very, very good with his hands.
The bad news?
He might be just as good at breaking down walls—especially the ones Mira built around her heart.Series

Summary
This is how I imagine a reunion between Garrick and Imogen after the events of Onix Storm. Major spoilers!
#Sneak peek#
The surprise to see Garrick standing on her doorstep barely registered like everything else in the last few days. He was already stepping in, moving inside, crossing her wards easily. She waved them to let him in, after all. She had hoped he would spend time inside her room, eventually, when they became more. Stupid, Imogen lectured herself, as if they had any chance of becoming something else. No one knew about this arrangement on her wards, though Quinn suspected. Her heart broke all over again merely for thinking her best friend’s name. Imogen didn’t even know there was anything left to break after the damage of losing her mother and sister. Somehow Quinn had gathered the ugly, sharp shards and transformed them in something akin to whole again, something precious and worthy of her kindness, her attention, her love. And now Quinn as gone and Imogen couldn’t save the parts her best friend mended. She didn’t know how to hold the shards together and keep them that way. She didn’t know how to bottle the pure love and joy Quinn brought to her life so she could drink small sips of her forever.Bookmarked by SepiaSunsets
