Gloria Bell was a strange child, her mother often said. The fact that their house was the closest to the Slumbering Weald — a place said to make people disappear or turn mad — did not help.
From the moment she was born, Gloria could sense, understand, and see things that normal people could not.
She could tell when her mother Munchlax wanted a specific food.
She could understand that all groups of Pokemon had their own language, but that their was an underlying universal language which allowed all of them to communicate.
She could just see these things about Pokemon that other people couldn’t.

Gloria Bell could also see things in humans, and unlike with Pokemon, she didn’t always like what she saw.
