Merman Connor x Female Reader x Merman Nines
After investigating strange dolphin-like noises, our curious reader discovers a pair of merman brothers, one of which is covered with new and old injuries. She learns that the life of a mer is not an easy one, especially for a male population where females are scarce to nonexistent. The reader, along with Hank, the retired police officer that lives by the sea, are determined to help the brothers live better lives than the stressful path of violence set out before them. The merman brothers, however, have already decided exactly how the reader can help them.

Summary
“The king must put the realm first,” Jaehaerys told Viserys shortly before his death. “The realm must always come before our own desires and dreams.”
It wasn’t until he saw the bleak future in his dream and faced the impossible choice that Viserys truly understood the old king’s words. With a heavy heart, he chose the stability of the realm over his beloved daughter.
And so, Aegon becomes the heir, while Rhaenyra is pushed down the line of succession and sent away to the grim fortress of their ancestors. The king promises her gold and freedom to live her life however she wants, but Rhaenyra knows those are only pretty words to soften the blow of her father’s rejection.
