“There is no way you are fine with what’s happening in Yokohama, Chuuya.”
“It’s all alright for me,” Chuuya said, not taking his eyes off the book this time. “After all, the Port Mafia is winning.” His face didn’t reveal any of his emotions, but it didn’t escape Dazai’s attention that Chuuya’d been stuck on the same page for a while now.
“Really? I heard you’ve been calling in sick quite often lately.”
“I am sick.” Chuuya looked up from the book and gave Dazai a cold stare. He raised his fist to his mouth and coughed theatrically. “I am a responsible citizen, after all,” he said, drilling Dazai with his heavy gaze. “I don’t go to work when I'm not well.”
Silence fell upon them. Dazai was the first to break it.
“Come with me.”

After Fukuzawa’s death, the Armed Detective Agency has fallen apart, the Port Mafia is on the rampage, and Yokohama is in ruins. Dazai and Chuuya make a run for it.

But possessive? Chuuya was not possessive.

Summary
“Whatever. Dazai can show up here and goof around if he wants to (he has been bored at home doing nothing) and Chuuya will start making backup plans for when someone figures out that Dazai is running loose around Port Mafia headquarters.”
Spoiler alert: they do not figure it out and Chuuya decides that dressing a little differently and visiting his partner at work does sound kind of fun. Cue the crack relationship reveal fic that only works if everyone is incredibly inattentive.

There was a strange glint in Dazai’s eyes as he stared at Chuuya, grin growing wider when he scooched closer to him on the bed, “That’s where I come in! The ADA have all come together and agreed that for the safety of the child—and of course you!—I’ll be helping take care of the baby! She did seem too overwhelmed here at the ADA, so it’s for the best that we stay at your apartment.”
What. The. Fuck.
So now Double Black has to work together again as parents?!
Or: Chuuya finds a baby, accidentally bonds himself to the baby, and (unwillingly) becomes a family with Dazai
