there’s a brief, silent pause in which rumi and jinu stare at each other with what feels like the weight of the world on their shoulders. jinu eventually breaks first.
“oh my god,” he breathes out the breath he didn’t even realise he was holding harshly before smothering his face into his hands.
“what?” rumi snaps defensively, her brows tightening into a tiny, self-conscious frown.
“nothing,” he sighs, dragging his hands down his face. “i just can’t believe that your problem is two of the hottest women on campus wanting to cuddle with you after sex.”

Summary
HUNTR/X has definitely gotten themselves into quite the number of scandals over the years, but some of them are a lot more notable than others. From getting a cat to cover up a blue demon tiger to having all of their alt accounts (and relationship) exposed on Twitter because of a fact about gay turtles, things are never easy for the Honmoon's strongest little soldiers.

The only reason she didn’t vomit was because the fear that surged through her made her entire body seize up. Her ears rang. Her vision swam. She looked again. This couldn’t be happening.

Her patterns were back.

Summary
She pushes her glasses back up her nose, eyes never moving from the spot on Rumi’s shoulder. Hm. They are, in fact, still there.
“Zoey,” Mira calls, keeping her voice low, not wanting to alert Rumi, because, quite frankly, she needs to talk to anyone else who isn't the source of the problem right now.
Zoey, thankfully, picks up on the tone in her voice, easily making her way over from across the compound, giving Mira a look. Mira just gestures for Zoey to get closer to her, and once Zoey is shoulder-to-shoulder with her, Mira gestures over toward Rumi.
There’s a pause.
“Huh,” Zoey decides, frowning. “That’s...” she trails off, waving a hand as she tilts her head to the side. “Different.”
“Something like that,” Mira agrees, crossing her arms over her chest. “Rumi has patterns.”
Zoey makes a noise. “Yeah. I guess so, huh?”

“You can block the connection Rumi. You just have to put up walls.”
“Put up walls?!” Rumi nearly shrieks. “They can already tell if I’m hungry before I can. I think it’s a little late for walls-“
OR
Once the girls pledged their oath as demon hunters, they were granted telepathy through the Honmoon and the more Rumi holds up walls against them, the more touch-starved and horny she gets.
