Summary
Izuku Midoriya used to be happy. Sure his parents ignored and forgot about him sometimes, but he knew they were busy. You see, both of his parents were quirkless. And in a society where everyone had quirks... that led to bitterness towards both heroes and quirks. Izuku Midoriya has a quirk... and once he discovers it, everything starts to go wrong. His parents hate him, he is forced to claim himself as quirkless, and no one likes him. Midoriya slowly starts to close in on himself, losing all the light and fighting spirit he once had. That is, until UA.
Midoriya knew that being "quirkless" would prevent him from being on the hero course. But some part of him still dreams of UA, so he decides to enter the General Studies course. There he makes a friend and starts to open up a bit. He and his new friend decide to try and enter the hero course through the UA Sports Festival! Will Midoriya be able to overcome his fears and obstacles and finally become a hero?

Summary
Taylor's first night out goes horrifically wrong. After an accident, she winds up with fourteen voices in her head, marking her as Butcher XV. This certainly complicates her planned heroic career, but sometimes you have to take refuge in audacity.
This is a slight AU where the Teeth returned to the Bay in summer of 2010, causing mayhem and havoc as they set up shop. Taylor's life didn't change too much from these events, even if the junior Teeth were slightly more agreeable at school than the Merchants had been. Then again, they still didn't lift a finger to help her when she was shoved into the locker. Her first night out happens a bit earlier than canon, causing a few interesting butterflies.
