Soft fingers gracing ever soft skin
Dew lightly kissed along the underside of Rain's jaw in an attempt to keep him awake. Not that rain would ever let the claws of sleep pull him under with his mate being so affectionate. A purr emanating from the water ghouls throat. Unable to control himself. Dew’s hand lightly cupped the side of his face as his lips feathered over his gills. Gaze half lidded to focus on how they gently fluttered, opening and closing. So fragile, yet whole hearted trust kept Rain still. His other hand rested to the left of the water ghouls head, caging him in between the soft sheets and the warmth of their naked bodies. Gorgeously splayed out below him. -

The clouds grew darker.
Phantom shuddered as he felt something wet hit the top of his head. Eyes immediately flicking up as another drop of..whatever that was falling from the sky caught him in the eye. “What-“ His ears flicked back in confusion. “What is that…?” More droplets followed soon after. Catching in his hair and against his horns.
Mountain let out a soft laugh, his maple leaf tail tip lightly curling in amusement. “It’s rain, have you not seen it yet?” It’d been a long time since the older ghoul had been summoned from the pit. Used to earth and its weather by now. The change of season and what all came with it. -

Summary
Dew groaned out lowly as he rolled over into the plush blankets of his bed. His body screamed against the effort to even move. Everything ached and hurt. His burnt up gills that remained on his neck from his elemental change flaring up as he sucked in forceful breaths of air every few seconds.
He never usually got sick, but when he did his body ran hot. So very hot that his body shook against the blankets he laid on. Feeling so very cold despite the heat his body created. His tail curled weakly around his leg as he used the back of his hand to wipe at his sweat drenched cheek. Leaving him feeling more sticky and gross. -

He’s used to his packmates coming into his room and watching him game, sitting back against his headboard or settling down on the floor just to give him some company. But Cirrus isn’t much of a gamer. In fact, Rain isn’t sure he’s ever seen her play anything more than monopoly or solitaire. But when the ghoulette glides up behind him and settles behind his hair, letting her hands run over the front of his bare shoulders in slow, massaging motions, he furrows his brow and looks up and behind him at her, sliding one side of his headphones off of his pointed ear.
“Do you need something?”
The look she gives him is hard to read, especially when she gives him a small smile. It’s warm. Innocent. But it doesn’t match her eyes. And that’s how Rain knows that something is up.
