Summary
Four days after the events of JJK 0, Satoru starts dreaming of Suguru. It's not so different for him, since he's been having nightmares of him since Suguru defected years ago, but these dreams are different. Suguru is different.
Is Satoru finally losing it, after going one too many days without sleep? Does the soul reside in the body or the mind? And what does it matter, in the end? What does it mean for Satoru, when he can't sleep anymore without seeing an increasingly desperate Suguru in his mind's eye?

A young man entered the cafe at speed, wild-eyed and panting. He locked eyes with Suguru and a moment later had vaulted over the counter and crouched at his feet, back pressed against the bar.
Suguru watched this happen with the vague detachment of the extremely overtired. He thought absently that it was lucky he’d cleaned up the drinks or they would have impeded what had been a rather impressive hurdle. The athlete in question was looking up at him with the most stunning blue eyes he’d ever seen.
He looked fucking terrified.
In which Gojo Satoru seeks shelter in a 24-hour cafe, but that pretty barista might be more than he bargained for.

Nanako watches a calloused hand freeze mid-page flip, the other tightening white around his favorite book's cover. Then, as if nothing happened, he completes the action, exhaling softly out of his nose.
"Hm...He was my best friend. But we fought and it's been like this ever since."
It's a solemn answer, one Nanako would have gladly accepted from her father and savior...if only she hadn't heard the sound of his name falling from Geto's lips years prior. She and Mimiko exchange knowing looks.
"Just your best friend?"
Nanako hears her dad choke.

Geto Suguru insists he and his ex-best friend have grown apart since he left Jujutsu Tech. Nanako and Mimiko remember things a little differently.
