Because standing in the very not-destroyed, dense streets of Shibuya, lined with the bright colors of department stores, hotels, tourist attractions, and advertisements plastered across every available space, Yuuji did not have Choso as support. He didn't have Fushiguro as support. He didn't even have Okkotsu as support.
Yuuji was inconceivably, utmostly, wholly, not-awesomely fucked because he was in the year 2005.
🔴 OR: Stuck over a decade in the past, Yuuji has resolved to do anything to ensure his future doesn't come to be.
It would really be a lot easier if Geto Suguru wasn't so overbearing, if Gojo Satoru wasn't such an asshole, if Ieiri Shoko stopped instigating things, and if Yuuji were just a tiny bit smarter.
But he was on his own, so damn it if he wasn't going to work with what he got.

Satoru blinks, eyes sweeping over to the little girl, whose feet are back to happily kicking, as she scoops out a slice of peach from her yoghurt. “She doesn’t like chocolate or raisins.” He answers, “she’s more of a strawberry or banana girl but never strawberry-banana.”
“Not answering my question,” Kento huffs, annoyed.
OR: Toji doesn’t have anyone else to look after his children while he cares for his sick wife. Satoru knows right away that he needs to call in the calvary.

“Can I be your family?” he asked, tone solemn.
The words took a few moments to register in Satoru’s head, during which precious moments, he finally stopped crying. Instead, he stared in awe at this stranger, of whom Satoru only knew one thing: his name, and who was offering him everything he’d ever wanted.
A bottle crashed in the background, and it made him startle. His legs had grown numb from crouching for such a long time and he needed to concentrate not to fall back on his ass in this gross alleyway.
“…What’s the catch?” the mistrusting side of him asked, tone covered in barbs, with a squinted look on his face. Stupid! the needy side screamed. Just say yes!
Kento’s expression didn’t shift much, and didn’t show a sign that he was offended by Satoru instantly assuming he was going to scam him. “There’s no catch.” He let out a small exhale. “Just…forever.”
Or: Gojo Satoru is a runaway omega who wants, more than anything in the world, to have a family of his own. When he's approached by a concerned stranger, the last thing he expects is to be offered one.
