"I was wondering when you would arrive, Admiral Bishop." Yelena breaks the ice first. She starts off a little playful, no real jab in her voice. She was not hurt by the admiral’s omission to her status, only curious as to why.
The admiral shrugged, smile still on her face. "I do not often enjoy attending events such as this unless I'm required to by my father's insistence on good manners."
Yelena banters before she could think. "So did you stop and ask me for a dance just to be polite?"
The admiral lightly smirks with a brow raised in challenge. "Your highness, I believe you stopped me mid-conversation with the other officers."
