Luz gasped as she read her torn half of Amity's note. "You were afraid of getting rejected!"
Oh. Eda suddenly connected the dots in her head - kids and a school dance. An aggressive rivalry turned to friendship. Two girls willing to jump into danger for each other. The fact that both seemed to have entirely forgotten that Eda was there, with eyes only for each other. Eda’s own eyes became fixed firmly on Luz to see her protégé’s reaction, and she cursed herself for not packing a bag of Hex-Mix in her hair tonight.

Amity was getting so tired and overwhelmed by all the proposals that she finally made a decision:
“Attention everyone,” the purple haired angel announced to the town. “Whoever wishes to court me must first find my cat, Ghost, and take the key tied around her neck which opens the door to my house. Only by having the key and using it to open the door will you be accepted as my suitor.”

Summary
She didn’t know much about Mittens at all, when she thought about it. Sure, she knew she was a star student who got good grades, though not as good as her siblings, and had a surly streak, but what were her interests besides reading? What kinds of food did she like? Did she have a crush on a witch in her class? Emira should’ve been able to answer these questions, but she couldn’t. Maybe she should ask, that might be a good place to start.
