“I’m sorry, Grian,” Scar repeated. “Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?”
For a moment, Scar thought he saw Grian’s gaze dip again, but with distance between them, and the glare from a lamp on the other man’s glasses, he couldn’t be entirely sure. It made his heart squeeze all the same.
Grian straightened, huffing, “No.”
Scar hesitated. “Are you sure?”
“Positive,” Grian said. He leaned into the couch cushions, his countenance changing with the wave of a hand. His face relaxed, his legs crossed in front of him, and a wide smile split his lips. “You’ll pay for what you’ve done in due time.”

Stiles had to re-read the notice four times before he honestly believed he was seeing it with his own two eyes. He’d gotten splashed by rainwater on First and Crown on Thursday around seven while waiting at a bus stop because of an impatient Camaro driver cutting off a bus.
Like, that was actually a thing that had happened. This was a real thing.

And Derek has no idea who this kid is, where he is now, if he's still alive. But then there's this kid who loudly talks about soulmates being bullshit, and he's annoying, and maddening, and aggrevating and so damn distracting. The worst thing of all? As Beacon Hills get pounded with foot after foot of snow, single dad Stiles can't quite keep up with his four year old, his job, and shoveling his driveway. Derek makes his teenage son shovel Stiles' walk, and that just leads to Derek helping Stiles out with a whole bunch of other tasks. That's okay with Derek, though, cause any chance to be with Stiles is okay with him.
