Summary
When Atsumu thinks about love, he thinks about being 17 again and sitting in the back seat of the car he and Osamu used to share, watching as his brother falls hopelessly in love with his best friend. He thinks about all the dopey heart eyes he had to endure and all the sloppy, exaggerated kisses pressed against cheeks just to spite him.
He thinks about how he often wanted to unlock his door and fall out of the car into oncoming traffic when the couple got lost in their own little world, leaving him behind in dreary reality.
To Atsumu, love will always be something other people experience. Yes, he's had his fair share of relationships and flings now that he's 23, but he's never been close enough to love to touch the word with a ten-foot pole.
Atsumu loves volleyball, and Osamu, and his ma, and fatty tuna, and if that's all he can love for the rest of his life, then that's okay.
If he's lying, that's his business.
