Summary
“Hey, Cunningham, look…whatever it is, I’m sure it’s going to be fine-” but he makes the mistake of putting his hand between her shoulder blades, trying to be comforting, and something in Chrissy finally snaps. She launches across the space and practically wraps herself around him. The dam officially broken, she sobs into the crook of his neck, her arms wrapped tightly around him while she hangs on for what feels like dear life. Those big, snotty, ugly sobs that she had fought so hard to hold off are now happening all over Eddie Munson’s Hellfire shirt. The humiliation of it all only makes her cry harder. No, this is definitely not where she saw her night going.
