“What’s it to you?” Lance fires back, all defiance as he stands his ground.
Keith doesn’t answer. Instead, he sets his jaw, grinding his teeth with furrowed brows. His nostrils flare. Fists clench and stretch at his sides. His shoulders move with heavy breaths. There’s a darkening shade of red high on his cheekbones…

Summary
Lance owns a witch themed cat cafe that rescues black cats. Each one has a unique collar and color coded name to help tell them apart. He's not supposed to play favorites, but he's already adopted his favorite, Red, as his own. Cold and distant to everyone, Red is extremely affectionate to Lance. Needy. Clingy. Protective. But Lance doesn't mind. He makes Lance's home a little less lonely. He's a little weird, but aren't all cats? He loves his baby boy, and he's eternally grateful for the day that little black fluff ball crossed his path.
Lance doesn't think twice about Red's odd quirks. That is, until he wakes up with a naked stranger in his bed.
And hey! Turns out Red is actually a witch named Keith who's been cursed to be a cat for twenty years. A really hot witch who's still very affectionate towards Lance.

“Yeah?” Lance sighed, warm and giddy, clearly not absorbing how serious the words truly were. Keith nodded his head for a few seconds, not trusting himself to speak around the size of his emotions. He was suddenly brought back to the years alone on the whale, when all he’d had to keep him going was memories of his friends, of Lance.
“Yeah.” Keith said, more certainty in his voice now. He reached down, hesitantly threading his fingers through Lance’s and giving his hand a squeeze. Lance tensed next to him. “I still do.”
“I mean, I’m right here.”
“Are you? You still seem pretty far away.”

Summary
With Shiro back on the team, Lance finds all of the progress he'd made with Keith over the months slipping away. A temporary best friend for a temporary paladin. He doesn't feel needed at all, at least not until he stumbles across the paladin vlogs while cleaning and sees for himself just how big of a void there is waiting to be filled in Keith's life.
Reassured that he has a place to be, Lance will stop at nothing to show Keith just how much he wants to be there.
