Summary
AU where Shiro never escaped the galra. Instead, Coran and Allura crash landed on earth taking Keith, Lance, Pidge and Hunk to find the missing paladin. But their plan to save the galaxy runs into a couple of problems, one being the fact that they can't actually form voltron and the other is a stray galran soldier that keeps appearing on all of their missions.

The kid made a motion to what he assumed was laughing, shining back and rocking violently for a few seconds. The kid then went very still, and locked eyes with a lance again.
And then its head split open.
As the paladins of Voltron answer a distress signal from an isolated planet in deep space, lance is grappling with his position as red paladin, his unease with Shiro, and his place in the team. As the Krishalli people come to work with the paladins, lance feels like the krishalli people aren't just strange.
They're starting to seem familiar.

Now that they have Lotor on their side, the Empire under control, and Shiro back at the head of Voltron, everything seems to be looking up. However, Lance has felt uneasy about all of it. Allura gets close to Lotor, his teammate/rival leaving, his friends grow distant, and Shiro gets progressively mean towards him. Things have just been too much to handle as of late.
Suddenly, this strange all-black Paladin shows up one day, ruining all their plans and missions and getting in their way at each turn. Something about him seems familiar. -

Hunk chuckles nervously.
“I mean,” Hunk says. “Not to be totally philosophical or whatever, but does the clone have a soul? Are we, like, essentially murdering him if we give Shiro that body?”
“Does it matter?” Lance asks. “We can’t just let a spy run around and give them another chance to kill us. So, if this is the only way to get Shiro back…”

Summary
It had been an accident. Lance clearly hadn’t meant to leave the freezer door open and waste months worth of food for impoverished planets, but he had and he accepts the responsibility and has no problem cleaning it up as Shiro told him to, even though Lance knows it’ll take several days and he’s running on fumes between the battles and Coalition meetings.
Except Shiro doesn’t just want Lance to take responsibility, he wants him to understand what the loss of that food will mean for so many firsthand. No eating, Shiro orders, until everything is cleaned up.
And Lance has no choice but to stumble his way through the task turned punishment, feeling weaker and sicker with every hour.

However, he had jerked a little too harshly to do so and the animal retaliated by swiftly pulling out of Keith; a movement that Lance noticed had caused him to bleed. This was enough to get Lance to spring into action, but the Blue Paladin wasn't prepared to watch Keith get slammed into a nearby rock formation, hearing the glass of his helmet shatter over the comm.

Summary
Lance knows his close quarters combat isn’t the best, so when Shiro tells Lance he’s going to train him he should be relieved because maybe now he can actually protect his team. Except the training seems to be more of a beatdown punctuated by both fists and cruel words and now Lance has to hide the results of such before he makes tensions in Voltron even worse. But that’s harder than planned on as Keith is both very observant and very, very concerned.
“Do you think the Galra Empire will care that you’re tired?” Shiro interrupted him. “Do you think they’ll go easy on you because you’ve been fighting all day?”
“No, but—”
“There are no buts, Lance,” Shiro cut him off. “Either you want to be a Paladin your team can count on or you don’t.”
