Summary
The war is over. Everyone has found their place in the Universe. Hunk and Pidge are working on cool projects to help the Blades and Garrison explore and help various races throughout the galaxies, Allura and Coran are building New Altea, and Keith is working with the Blades to restore balance to planets still infested with Galra rebels. But one year after they've ended the fight against the tyranical empire, Lance goes missing. With a gut instinct guiding him, Keith heads into the desert to his forgotten shack—an old hideout where Lance once joked he could escape everything. Together they brave the realities of their new lives and help each other realize they are not their traumas.
Aka a little fix it fic with all the gays and plenty of hurt and comfort because this shit got heavy for a kids show.

“I need your help!” And then the line cut out.

Summary
It's hard to parse the emotion in Lance's words over the noise, but they do get a response. “Hey, Coran. What's the ‘sitch?”
“Well! The, uhm, ‘sitch’, is a forest fire, likely caused by Zarkon and his forces. It's located southbound a league or two from the castle. It would be in our best interest for you to retrieve your Lion in case there's anything worse planned.”
Lance is quiet for almost uncomfortably long. Keith steps in, his patience thinner than he'd prefer, though with their recent loss he's bound to be jumpier than usual. “Lance? Can you hear us?”
“Yeah, I heard ya. Be there stat.” The communication abruptly ends, leaving the control room in silence.
“Did he just hang up on us!?” Pidge asks, incredulously.

Summary
Keith Kogane turned around, stick in his hand, as he made his way back over to the team.
“Hey, nice to meet you, my name’s Lance,” Lance introduced himself as Keith skated by. The man said nothing, sliding right past Lance as he headed over to where their coach was now standing.
“That was rough, I’m not gonna lie,” Hunk said, and Lance shook his head.
“Who does he think he is?”
In which Lance and Keith are both professional hockey players. Keith is notorious for switching teams every year, with no one knowing why, and this year he has joined the Arizona Cardinals, the team Lance has played for since he graduated college. Despite being notoriously a prodigy at hockey and famous for his success, Keith seems to refuse to get close to anyone and always has a frown on his face. Something in Lance makes it so that he desperately wants to break those walls down.

Summary
Lance knows his close quarters combat isn’t the best, so when Shiro tells Lance he’s going to train him he should be relieved because maybe now he can actually protect his team. Except the training seems to be more of a beatdown punctuated by both fists and cruel words and now Lance has to hide the results of such before he makes tensions in Voltron even worse. But that’s harder than planned on as Keith is both very observant and very, very concerned.
“Do you think the Galra Empire will care that you’re tired?” Shiro interrupted him. “Do you think they’ll go easy on you because you’ve been fighting all day?”
“No, but—”
“There are no buts, Lance,” Shiro cut him off. “Either you want to be a Paladin your team can count on or you don’t.”

Voltron receives a notice about an old abandoned research base containing important intel and hidden Galran experiments, leading to where they are currently trapped together in a damaged red lion who refuses to open the doors while they recover. They are forced to finally talk about their feelings and escape this dire situation. SOMEHOW, launch a recuse mission and NOT make this super awkward in the meantime... Yup... lance was screwed.

Summary
Keith knows that Lance knows how important this alliance is. He knows how big the other group is on ceremony and how bad Keith admittedly is at the finer nuances of the political doublespeak. He knows because all of those are the reasons Keith chose Lance to be his fellow delegate and lead the alliance talks. And yet here Lance is, mocking their hosts by pointedly ignoring them in what Keith can only guess is a both a literal silent protest of the aliens’ blatant sexism and show of support for Allura. He understands, he feels the same, but this is not the time or place and the hurt he feels at the trust Lance has broken with his actions is more deafening than any silence.
