On the Beach of Beginnings, a green chalcedony is born. They fall from the cliff face, and are badly damaged, assumed not to have survived the fall until they ask a yellow-haired gem named Sulfur, whose job is to watch over newborn gems, to help them. The sun is setting, and against their better judgement, Sulfur carries the newborn back to the temple... to be reborn again.
