A hangover? No, this ache is impossibly different. Not quite solely physical.
“Daaniël. You know I care for you dearly, but I can’t allow this to happen. Come here. You know I’m safer than that ache, right?” The words are sickenly sweet and they soothe him in a way they really shouldn’t. He wants to decline on the very principle that he has too much left to do, a life ahead of him regardless of the lack of answers he found. But that unfamiliar ache is spreading now. Coursing down his neck and his shoulders, he feels like something is trying to force its way out of his skin.
Aka: Pocketcat gets what he wants in the end. Warning that there are spoilers for a lot of stuff to do with Daan, so if you don't know that much about him and don't want to get spoiled, this fic isn't for you!
