The end of the world, according to all current social convention. In the time they find themselves in, within her own social circles, at least. And yet she does not hesitate to shed the outer layers of her dress, her chilled fingers still managing to fly across laces and buttons. Cloudia's dress seems to fall apart underneath her hands, as if it was not held together by stitched thread, but only the immediacy of their predicament. Without danger as an anchor it unravels, waves of blue silk parting to reveal damp white cloth that is almost translucent, until only frosted glass separates her skin from his gaze.
