As it so happened Adam was just reaching for his phone when it started to ring, Kim’s photo flashing on the screen.
“Hey,” he answered with a smile. “I was just about to-”
“Adam, he’s here!” Kim’s voice was high and frantic and Adam’s amusement immediately faded. “He’s here, he’s in the apartment!”
“Who?” Adam asked urgently, pressing the phone closer to his ear. He couldn’t hear anything or anyone else in the background but Kim’s fear was palpable.
“Roy,” Kim breathed, and Adam’s body went cold with dread. “Adam, he’s here,” she said again, whispering now, and Adam was already gone.
When Adam receives a frantic call from Kim, he races home to their apartment, but not everything is as it seems. For Febuwhump Day 19 prompt: delirium.

This ridiculous situation with Chicago PD has gone on long enough. They don’t let one of their teammates struggle alone like this. And Hailey is so clearly not okay.
OR: Kim finally stages an intervention for Hailey. The question is whether she’s too late.
Written because I’m pissed at how Chicago PD has sucked in the friendship and support department lately. I still don’t understand why there is so little support (or even interactions) between the rest of the team and Hailey when she so clearly needs help. *rant over*
