(Ch15) [While the elders wanted to know everything, Zuko just wanted to know why on earth they all automatically assumed he would side with Konoha against his own clan.
Did he possess this inherent traitorous characteristic that somehow shone through? Perhaps going against his relatives in his past life to save the Fire Nation from his father and sister had carried over, and Zuko now automatically came across as this hardcore, family-betraying patriot?
Surely he hadn't been that bad.
Yes, there had been the time in an abandoned town in the Earth Kingdom where Zuko ganged up with the Avatar, (Undesirable Number One), and his friends, (Undesirable Numbers Two through Five), to fight Azula. Then when he betrayed his uncle in the catacombs below Ba Sing Se. And the time he dumped his girlfriend via letter, shot lightning at his father, and joined his family’s greatest enemy; all to dethrone them and save the Fire Nation.
Oh my god, he really was a hardcore, family-betraying patriot!]

(ch16) Monstrous Tweels - cannibalize siblings to survive, bloody hunters, double jaws, bioluminescence communication, finds Azul so cute they want to eat him up (admire how he honed his weapons although he is weak)
Azul - self doubt, toxic bite, jealous of twin's relationship/inferiority feels
Tweels make Whale Fall
Treats each other like pets[the trick is to keep floyd's dialogue playful and have him ask questions he already knows the answers to, while jade's dialogue stays polite and he expresses sentiment he doesn't feel. also they're usually talking to each other, not to anyone else. they both have coping mechanisms they lean into for communication just to try and sound normal. half of what they say is just masking and it shows
dialogue is a great way to convey characterization tidbits. everything the tweels say is threatening because they're threatening. azul's words are always deceptive because he's deceptive. the way yuu talks is always off-balance because they're off-balance, etc. go for it, i've been using those dialogue tactics from the v beginning.]
[I wonder if the tweels will.be indifferent if they saw Azul choking and cles to dying in their feet after his OB?
i can see them laughing hysterically and possibly kicking/beating up his body if they didn't think/didn't want to admit what was happening
orrrr i can see them realizing what'll happen to him, glancing at each other, and just stopping in their tracks. letting him grab them. grinning madly as he does his best to hold them close and tear them apart.
in scenario 2, if they survive, they'll laugh it off. it would've been boring if they won too easily. yuu thinks they need some goddamn therapy because that was definitely a suicide attempt.
tldr it's definitely love. the tweels are just shit at recognizing warm and fuzzy feelings aimed at anyone but each other. if they like azul, it must be because he's theirs]
