Simple enough, until they fall in love with the planet... and with each other. With Padmé married and Obi-Wan a Jedi, they can't do anything about being in love without challenging everything they stand for. But, if their mission is to bring war to a planet they care about, then perhaps their beliefs deserve to be challenged.

Her funeral was a stunt. No one knows she’s alive except a green Jedi Master, a couple Senators, and Master Kenobi – a universe in which Padmé Amidala survives and goes into exile on Tatooine with Obi-Wan Kenobi and they are forced to coexist with each other despite their loved one falling to the Dark Side and their particularly interesting past that’s better left unsaid. Who knew that sharing the same bed in a small hut would lead them to the relationship they refused to explore years ago and perhaps… a role in the dawn of the rebellion? Being together wasn’t always the Force’s plan… Or was it?
(This fic intends to stay canon with a little twist!)

Summary
In the immediate aftermath of Order 66, Captain Rex and Ahsoka Tano find themselves broken and defeated, with nothing anchoring them to the world except their friendship and devotion to one another. As they try to make their way in a galaxy now run by the Empire, they struggle to remain safe and hidden while finding a purpose for life beyond just surviving.
Staying together is all Rex cares about. But without the war to occupy his mind, he finds that space being filled with intense, new feelings for Ahsoka. He already cares about her deeply but these new emotions start to complicate their already complicated lives.
