“Why would you say such rude things about me? Like I wasn’t even there.” Azriel teases, releasing his grip to walk around and face Eris. “Am I no more than a weapon for you to brandish?”
“Azriel,” Eris starts, only to quiet again at Azriel’s cutting look.
“Try again.”
The High Lord bit his lip, color coming to his cheeks. “Sir…” at the Shadowsinger’s nod, he continued. “It was a play for power. If- If I showed them I controlled you, then…” he trails off.
“Control me?” Azriel laughs, leaning over and putting his hands on the arm rests of the throne.
