Okay, it’s weird. Jon’s being weird. But all things considered, she’s filing that somewhere well below ‘trapped in the archives by worms’ on her list of priorities.

Summary
Peter doesn't die. Instead, he finds himself sling-shot back in time by the Archivist's machinations, to a time before everything he's ever called home.
A man out of his time catches a lot of attention and Peter is simply not equipped to deal with all of that.
Somewhere, in this London of horses and top hats, there must be a set of eyes capable of seeing a way out of this for him. Only issue being those eyes are still very much where they are supposed to be, and Peter has to meet his husband again.

Martin sighs, a heavy, grounding thing, and hisses something half-inaudible under his breath, the only thing reaching Jon’s ears being a spat ‘Christ’ that for some reason has him tensing in the passenger seat. He’s more than particularly aware that this isn’t something he shouldn’t be asking of Martin, really, but with the state his hands are in, he’s barely able to lift a shovel, never mind drive a car, and he can’t …
He hasn’t been able to sleep knowing that Mike is alive, somewhere under the earth, cut off from the sky, and that he was the one who helped put him there.

Summary
Jon can't say he's surprised when he gets to what must have once been a living room and sees an anachronistic treasure chest sitting in the center, in place of a coffee table. His shoes squelch on the water-logged carpet as he approaches. He ought to know better than to draw near, should either leave it be or at best, perhaps call the Institute and have Artifact Storage send a team to collect it. But much like how his feet guided him here as if he's now some kind of inhuman dowsing rod, Jon Knows that…
Something is in that box that doesn't belong there.
