Summary
Shigeo is in high school now but some things haven't changed. He's still socially inept, though he's getting better, still has the same haircut and same friends but he's not satisfied. He wants to change. He wants to prove once and for all that he doesn't need psychic powers to succeed in life. In an effort to better himself, he decides to take a week off school to climb the famous Celeste mountain, a place notorious for its danger, without psychic powers.
The mountain is much more than it seems however and what he finds up there is certainly not what he wants to see, but maybe it's what he needs. And though he doesn't want any help from anyone, he finds himself receiving it from those he never quite expected.
