Summary
Saphir Stellamaris wouldn't call his lot a charmed life exactly. Sure you get to wear fancy silks and jewels and rub elbows with the Gate's Great and the Good. You also have to serve them in whatever way they request. Thankfully they'll pay out the nose for a taste of something exotic and his particular skillset makes it so he doesn't have to endure the worst of it. Still with his coffers now overflowing Saphir wonders how to start extracting himself from this lifestyle and how exactly someone of his background is going to make his plans for the future work. After all a foulblood no matter their breeding is still a foulblood at the end of the day. And even the most progressive cities would most likely balk at his ideas. Although...maybe...maybe this Gortash fellow could be a way of getting his hoof in the door. After all if someone of common blood can rise through the ranks at the rate he has, surely he knows something of breaking through glass ceilings.
