Summary
Dakota's instincts promise him safety and comfort if he just drops the reins, so… he does, letting the fog fill his mind while he is surrounded by safety. Vyncent carefully patches him up, softly moving his limbs around to get all of the cuts and scrapes that litter his body. William orders dinner on the other side of Vyncent, both of them okay and working on trying to save this mess of a day.
Aka Prime Defender au where Dakota gets mutated during the Overlord fight and now has to deal with being a rabbit mutant, including having major problems with his rabbit instincts.

The walls are closing in on him.
This isn't true. Most people have that logical part of their brain that will tell them, no, the walls are not closing in on you. However, Kota is not 'most people.' And his brain is broken. Split open and rewired so many times that even though any logical person would be able to look around themself and know that the walls they were enclosed in, were not, and likely would not move- Kota can't.
So, to reiterate, the walls are closing in on him, and he has no way of getting out of them.

The best part about being back in the city was Dakota’s little side gig secret. He was a superhero…. or at least as close as he could be without being officially licensed by W.A.T.C.H. Last year, he spent a lot of time getting his powers in check. Controlling them. This was the first time he’s actually gone out to be a hero! However, he wasn’t expecting to be the talk of the town and the school's favorite topic of conversation.
