Technically, he doesn’t know this is Mike’s daughter, because she hasn’t even spoken yet. Also because the last time he saw her she was a two-year-old in a picture Mike had in his wallet. So he has an obligation to act normal, because even if it is her, she’s obviously not here to sell Girl Scout cookies if her panicked expression is anything to go by.

Will frowned, “I hope it’s not,” he said, “I don’t like anybody we know enough to marry them — except our friends, obviously, but that’s different.”
Hugo, if it was even possible, looked somehow immensely more excited by these words, “I can’t tell you who it is,” he giggled, “That’s a really big spoiler.”
Mike Wheeler’s son arrives in Hawkins with no explanation, snapped back in time entirely by accident — and he latches on to none other than Will Byers. If only they all knew why.

Mike hates working with Max, he hates working at Scoops Ahoy, and he hates that his cousin is in town for the summer.
More specifically, he hates that Richie fucking Tozier has a job at Surfer Boy pizza, which so happens to be where Will is working.
Will has little to no expectations for this summer, his only expectations being that he could finally live a normal life— one without the upside down, without Vecna.
But it hadn’t been on his agenda to fall for Richie Tozier.
Especially when he’s still achingly in love with the one and only Mike Wheeler.
It’s safe to say, it’s going to be an interesting summer.
